People's stories: see, hear and read their experiences...
Healthtalkonline is
the award-winning website of the DIPEx charity and replaces the website
formerly at dipex.org. Healthtalkonline lets you share in other people's
experiences of health and illness. You can watch or listen to videos of
the interviews, read about people's experiences and find reliable
information about conditions, treatment choices and support. Select a particular diagnosis below to see peoples cancer stories, by topic:
ii. PACT - Psychology Assisted Cancer Treatment Programme Background The PACT programme was designed to provide a self-help resource based around an educational booklet (sometimes called bibliotherapy). The aim is to provide helpful information, guidance, support and cognitive-behavioural therapy in a short course. Following the basic design and field testing we are aiming to trial the PACT method in a study (randomized trial) subject to funding.
Online PACT Course In the near future we hope to offer the PACT programme online, at no cost to persons suffering emotional complications of cancer
